  Return To Play Guidelines

With the ongoing modifications to the protocol and guidelines provided by both the Office of the Governor and Washington Youth Soccer concerning COVID-19, Valor Soccer continues to keep safety the top priority for its players, coaches and other members.

  Training & Gameday Guidelines

  • Players are required to wear a mask during training, pregame warm-ups, and while waiting on the bench to play.

  • Players may remove their mask while actively competing in a game.

  • Coaches are required to wear a mask at all times.

  • Spectators are required to wear a mask at all times.

  • Referees may remove their mask while actively officiating a game.

  • Teams should arrive for their game on time. Teams should not enter the field area until previous teams have left. Teams should promptly leave the field when their game has finished.

  • Spectators should sit/stand in designated spectator areas. For most of our fields, this means BEHIND the fencing.

    • No gathering or clustering of parents or any spectators before, during, or after a match.

    • Do not arrive any earlier than announced or loiter after a match.

    • Stay at least 10 feet away from the sideline and players, coaches, and referees at all times.

    • Do not touch the turf, balls, or equipment.

  • Per state guidelines updated on March 22, 2021, there will be a 150-person maximum per field. This number includes players, coaches, referees, and spectators.

  • In the event of an injury on the field, only one parent is allowed to help and only if the coach calls for assistance.

  • There is a shortage of referees. Please treat them with the utmost respect. In rare cases, a referee may not be available, and the coaches will determine who will ref the game.
