Spring 2021 FAQ
Valor Soccer is now on Sports Connect! We are excited to use Sports Connect's registration platform to make registration easier for you and for us! Be sure to read through the FAQ below to make your registration process as smooth as possible.
Q1 - How do I set up my new Sports Connect account?
First things first - set up your new account! Whether you are a player or coach, setting up your account ahead of time will make registration extra easy!
Q2 - How do I volunteer to be a Head Coach of a Rec or FirstKick team?
New to Spring 2021! Each team's head coach will receive one free player registration! You will initially pay to register your player. Then once the team is formed and practices are scheduled, we will refund you. If you are co-coaching or have an assistant coach, you can also choose to split the discount, and we will refund each person's account.
-
You will be provided with a unique Team Code when you complete registration. Once your players have a Team Code from you, they will go through the registration process for the program and type the code in the Team Code field.
-
Under the "Volunteer" tab, you will now see the option to "Visit Team Page" and "Manage Invites." Select the "Manage Invites" option. Here you will be able to type your players' email addresses into a system-generated email to invite them to join your team. You can add your own additional notes to this email, as well. From this page you can also track you roster to see which players have registered.

-
Your coach will share a unique Team Code with you. Once you have the Team Code, go through the player registration process for the program and type the code in the Team Code field.
-
Your coach will send you a Player Invite email to join their team. When you receive the email click "Accept Invite" to proceed with player registration. The email will also include the Team Code just in case!
Q5 - How do I register as a free agent?
If you're new to Valor Soccer, you will most likely be registering as a free agent. Registering as a free agent means you are not yet placed on a team. Don't panic! This does not mean you won't be placed on a team. As registrations roll in, we place free agents on partially filled rosters as well as form new teams.
Q7 - Can I use my credit from Fall 2020 when I register? (Rec only)
Yes! You should have recieved an email from registrar@valorsoccer.com containing a coupon code to use. Be sure to check your junk/spam folders in your email inbox!
Q6 - What if I don't get placed on a team?
Q8 - How do I apply for financial aid?
You will also apply for financial aid through Sports Connect. You must apply for financial aid before registering for FirstKick or Rec. After your application is reviewed, you will receive an email from registrar@valorsoccer.com containing a discount code that you will be able to use when you complete the program registration for FirstKick or Rec.
