Registration Setup

Valor Soccer is on Sports Connect! Sports Connect accounts are family accounts. This means everyone's profile lives under one account, including players, parents/guardians, and any additional account holders you invite to join your account. Step 1: Navigate to Valor Soccer's Sports Connect homepage. Step 2: Select "Login" if you already have a Sports Connect account or "Register" to create your new account. Step 3: Follow the step-by-step guide to set up your account and everyone's profiles. Once everyone's profiles are set up, you'll be able to see what programs are available for players under the "My Account." Please note that programs will not be shown as "available" until registration is open.

Games & Leagues

U9-U10 teams play in the South Sound United League (SSUL) against other Valor Soccer regional teams (Auburn, Kent Fairwood, Kent Valley, & Maple Valley), Renton, Federal Way, and Enumclaw, partipcating in a 6-game season. U11-U19 teams play in the South Sound United League (SSUL) against teams in south King County and Pierce County, particpating in an 8-game season. U9-U14 teams typically play on Saturdays. U15-U19 teams typically play on Sundays.

Player & Team Development

U9-U12 teams will participate in two weekly practices with their coach and teammates. Coaches at these age groups will be supported by the Coach Education Program where they will team up with professional, experienced Valor coaches for the first 4-6 weeks of the season to share best practices and introduce beginning, intermediate, and advanced coaching methodology. U13-U19 teams will participate in two weekly practices with their coach and teammates. Coaches will be provided with Valor curriculum to guide their training sessions. Your practice day will depend on your coach as we do our best to accommodate their schedule as a volunteer. Practices typically take place Monday through Thursday and typically start between 5:00-8:00PM.

Player Gear

Game jersey included in registration fee! Kids grow fast - be sure to order an accurate size for the new season! Parents will also need to ensure their child has:

  • Soccer cleats
  • Shin guards
  • Soccer ball
    • Size 4 for U9-U12 players
    • Size 5 for U13-U19 players
Need new cleats? Mark your calendar for the Cleat Exchange before the start of each season! Whether you need new cleats or are looking to donate an old pair, the Cleat Exchange is a great opportunity for everyone!

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available thanks to our sponsor P'n'D Logging and Tree Service! Visit valorsoccer.com/financial-aid for more information. P'n'D Logging and Tree Service Thank you P'n'D Logging!

Registration Process

Register with your returning coach & team or as a free agent!

  • Coach-Team Registration - Coaches will register first! Once the coach is registered, they have two methods of inviting players to join their team:
    • Team Code
    • Player Invite Email
    • *Players who plan to register with a Team Code/Player Invite Email must register by Feb. 4. After this date, we will begin filling in rosters with players who have registered as free agents. This deadline is important because we need to be able to identify new teams and potential new coaches from the pool of players who have registered as free agents as early as possible.
  • Free Agent Registration - If you're new to Valor Soccer, you will most likely be registering as a free agent.
    • Registering as a free agent means you are not yet placed on a team.
    • Don't panic! As registrations roll in, we place free agents on partially filled rosters as well as form new teams.
    • What if I am not placed on team? We do our best to give as many players the ability to play as possible, but unfortunately, there may be instances where your child will be turned away. Such instances include, but are not limited to, the inability to create enough teams due to lack of players, inability to find a coach, late registrations, and unsuccessful payments. If we cannot place you on a team, you will be refunded in full.

Playing Up Policy

Upon parent request, players may play up one (1) age group. Parents must contact rec@valorsoccer.com to make this request. An administrator will have to manually transfer the player to the older age group.
When registering, Sports Connect will require you to register your player for their correct program eligibility (see Age Group-Birth Year Matrix). Proceed with registration for your player's correct program eligibility. *If you have a Team Code/Player Invite Email to join a team that is in an older age group than your player is eligible for, they will NOT work.* After completing registration, you must email rec@valorsoccer.com right away to notify an administrator that you would like to be placed on an older team (and what team that is if you had a Team Code/Player Invite Email).
If your player is playing up to an older age group that incurs a price change, you will be charged for the price difference.
