Head Coach (Full-Time) – Youth Competitive Program (3 Teams)
Position Overview
Valor Soccer WA is seeking a full-time Head Coach to lead and manage three competitive youth teams within our club pathway. This role is ideal for a motivated, player-centered coach who is passionate about long-term development, high standards, and contributing to a positive club culture.
The Head Coach plays a key role in delivering Valor Soccer WA’s mission: developing confident players and people—both on and off the field—through intentional coaching, accountability, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Player Development

Design and deliver age-appropriate, developmentally sound training sessions aligned with Valor Soccer WA’s curriculum and playing principles

Emphasize technical excellence, tactical understanding, decision-making, and physical development

Create and implement individual development plans to maximize player growth

Provide clear, constructive feedback during training sessions and matches

Stay current with modern coaching methodologies and best practices
Team & Match Management

Lead the training, development, and competitive performance of three assigned teams

Plan and execute game-day strategies, lineups, and tactical adjustments

Foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture rooted in respect, accountability, and growth mindset

Uphold Valor Soccer WA standards for sideline behavior, communication, and professionalism
Administrative & Club Responsibilities

Develop seasonal plans including training schedules, league play, and tournament participation
-
Collaborate with Valor leadership, Directors of Coaching, and operations staff to ensure league and club compliance
-
Communicate effectively with parents, players, and staff regarding expectations, development, and logistics
-
Track and report attendance, player progress, and evaluations using club systems
Leadership & Mentorship

Serve as a role model reflecting Valor Soccer WA’s values and standards

Mentor assistant coaches and collaborate to ensure consistency across teams and age groups

Build strong, trust-based relationships with players and families
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
-
USSF C License required (USSF B License preferred)
-
CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience
-
Minimum of 3 years coaching competitive youth soccer
-
Experience managing multiple teams and age groups strongly preferred
-
Demonstrated success in player development and team organization
Skills & Attributes

Strong technical and tactical knowledge of the game

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Highly organized with the ability to manage schedules, logistics, and priorities

Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel for league play and tournaments
