  Program Eligibility, Team Formation, & Club Dues

Club dues cover the costs of state, regional association, and league fees, entry fees for Washington Youth Soccer-sponsored state cup tournaments, field rental and maintenance, administrative costs, coaching fees, referee fees, and operational costs.

*Washington Youth Soccer is piloting a Regional Club League (RCL) competitive playing experience (i.e., Premier only) for the U8 age group during the 2021/22 Competitive Playing Cycle. Tryouts for the U8 age group plus supplemental tryouts for the U9 age group will take place Dec. 4, 2021.

U8 teams will participate in the RCL pilot program from January through mid-April. There will be no WYS state cup for U8 teams. The program will conclude when the playing cycle resets for tryouts for the 2022/23 playing cycle, which will take place in April/May.

Kit

Every odd numbered year (2019, 2021, 2023, etc.), Premier and Select players are required to purchase the complete Nike kit from our retail partner SOCCER.COM. New players will be required to purchase the full kit regardless of the year. Players who age up to older age groups or change programs mid-uniform cycle will be required to purchase additional kit items. Premier & Select - U9-U12 Kit ($227)

Volunteer Hours

To help keep overall club costs down, each Premier and Select family (multiple players count as one family) is obligated to serve eight (8) hours of volunteer time over the course of the playing cycle. Volunteer opportunities include tasks such as setup on gamedays, assistance at club events, administrative support, etc.

  • At the time of registration, a mandatory $200 volunteer fee will be due.
  • If you complete your volunteer hours by the end of the playing cycle (deadline March 31, 2022), your $200 will be refunded to you.
  • If you do not complete your volunteer hours in full, your $200 will not be refunded.
  • If you would prefer to opt out of completing volunteer hours, you can do so for a $50 discount. This option is only available at the time of registration.



Team Fees

Team fees vary per team. These fees are calculated by the Team Manager and include any extracurricular activities the team decides to participate in. These activities include entry fees for tournaments, team-building activities, team parties, and travel expenses. Team fees also cover travel expenses for coaches.



Fundraising

Fundraisers help the club offset operational costs. Each Premier and Select team will be required to provide 1 gift basket and 1-2 desserts at Valor Soccer's club appreciation celebration Valor Day. Teams are also encouraged to hold team-specific fundraisers, such as car washes, restaurant nights, etc., to offset team fees.
