Per Washington Youth Soccer, in-person Premier and Select Tryouts are cancelled due to current circumstances surrounding the coronavirus outbreak.

Tryouts will be replaced by the following process in accordance with Washington Youth Soccer (WYS) and Regional Club League (RCL) guidelines. Valor Soccer will adhere to this process for both the Premier and Select programs. This process does not apply to the U16-U19 "High School" boys age groups who already completed their tryouts in February.

Valor Soccer is accepting new and returning players for the new 2020/21 Playing Cycle.

For the 2020/21 Playing Cycle, the Competitive Path is available to the U9-U19 age groups, which includes birth years 2002-2012 (see Age Group Chart). Players born in 2013 (or later) may request to be evaluated to play up.

Tryouts/Team Placement will be very different this year, and we are here to help you through it! If you have any questions about the new Tryouts/Team Placement process or the upcoming Premier and Select Playing Cycle, please utilize the following resources:

NEW TRYOUTS/TEAM PLACEMENT PROCESS

STEP 1)
Whether you are a new or returning player, the first step is to register for Tryouts/Team Placement. This registration is free and OPEN NOW!

Based on this registration, coaches will begin to determine their rosters for the upcoming season. Coaches and coaching directors will work together to assess player performance from the last playing cycle for team placement. All returning Valor Soccer players are guaranteed a Premier or Select offer.

STEP 2)
Beginning May 1st, Valor Soccer staff can make team placement offers to the following groups of players:

  • Returning Premier and Select Valor Soccer players from the 2019/20 Playing Cycle
  • Valor Soccer Recreational players
  • Valor Soccer FirstKick players
  • US Club players
  • USDA players
  • Non-registered players

Beginning May 5th, Valor Soccer staff can make team placement offers to the following groups of players:

  • Players who were registered with another RCL club for the previous 2019/20 Playing Cycle

STEP 3)
Once a team placement offer is accepted, players must complete the club registration by May 10th to make their commitment for the upcoming season and hold their roster spot. This registration requires a nonrefundable team placement fee. The team placement fee is part of your overall club dues - not an additional down payment.

Team Placement Fees

  • Premier: $175
  • Select: $125
  • *U9 - Birth Year 2012: $145
*Because this age group is new to competitive soccer, we will not place players on teams until we can properly evaluate players and find the best fit for them on a Premier or Select team at Valor Soccer.

As outlined in Step 2, the following groups of players can complete the club registration as soon as May 1st:

  • Returning Premier and Select Valor Soccer players from the 2019/20 Playing Cycle
  • Valor Soccer Recreational players
  • Valor Soccer FirstKick players
  • US Club players
  • USDA players
  • Non-registered players

And the following groups of players can complete the club registration as soon as May 5th:

  • Players who were registered with another RCL club for the previous 2019/20 Playing Cycle
